A curated selection of films spanning features, documentaries, and television productions.
Producing feature films for theatrical distribution has given me insight into all aspects of filmmaking: from script development and financing, to post production and delivery of the finished product to the distributor and the broadcaster. Communication, organization, crew management, and promotion are skills I have honed from these productions.
Television production and documentary directing has deepened my ability to communicate in many ways. For me, social commentary and political satire has been the focus of both these disciplines.
Working in the paradigm of digital filmmaking has made it possible to make films on smaller budgets. The necessity to be in traditional filmmaking centers has disappeared as the ease of communication has made regional filmmaking competitive and important to the inherent democracy of the medium. It is a wonderful time to be an independent filmmaker.
